Social workers who had taken Out of the Matrix were telling us how they were using the concepts and tools they acquired in the OM program in the workplace and how it decreased the upsets they were dealing with, reduced their intensity and frequency. They were able to resolve the issues and problems more effectively and efficiently and with a greater sense of peace.
It was their prompting and encouragement that gave us the impetus to seek being certified for Continuing Education Units. We are proud to say that we are currently certified in Ohio and offer 19 clock hours.

WHAT IS THE MATRIX?
Social work is a profession for those with a strong desire to help improve people's lives. Social work, while satisfying, can be challenging because social workers assist people by helping them cope with and solve issues in their everyday lives, such as family and personal problems and dealing with relationships.
The vast majority of the people they are dealing with are sad, lonely, angry, depressed, etc., and as a result, make choices that create andcompound the issues and problems the social worker is there to help resolve.

Eventually, almost every social worker comes to realize that the problems they arehelping to resolve are the symptoms and not the cause. These problems must be resolved. This is what you've been trained to do and do well.
However, if we could get to the cause, if we could help resolve the cause, as we help to resolve the more obvious issues and problems, now we can really help people improve their lives. We can get them out of the loop of unhappiness. We can get them Out of the Matrix.
